COVID-19 Handling in Thousands Islands Keeps Being Evaluated

Zero case is not necessarily safe, we must remain vigilant and disciplined following health protocols

The Thousand Islands Regency continues to evaluate the supervision and handling of COVID-19 cases by strengthening the discipline of implementing health protocols.

Thousand Islands Acting Regent Junaedi revealed the condition was still danger from COVID-19 thus he urged locals to orderly wear a mask when outside the house, wash your hands and maintain physical distancing.

"Zero case is not necessarily safe, we must remain vigilant and disciplined following health protocols. That's why we routinely do evaluation," he asserted, after he attended an executive meeting along with Jakarta Governor via online at the office of Thousand Islands Regency, Pramuka Island, Wednesday (8/26).

He stated, during August 6-25, there was no additional case of coronavirus and could be maintain thus the islands would return to the green zone.

"So let's maintain it by maintaining strict supervision of health protocols in all residential islands and resorts," he stressed.
